THE SCENE OPENS WITH THREE RUGGED, hot looking men. It looks like it is going to be a rough and raunchy threesome of hot man sex.
Then all of a sudden, the large penis pops off of one of the performers, revealing a vagina instead — and shocking the hell out of the other two sex partners.
Once they get over their shock, though, they take turns pounding the person who moments before appeared to be a typical musclebear.
This provocative scene is part of the Titan production “Cirque Noir,” co-starring a performer different from any other porn star you’ve probably ever seen. The star goes by the name Buck Angel.
ANGEL WAS ONCE A WOMAN NAMED SUSAN. Angel declined to give the former Susan’s last name. She grew up in the San Fernando Valley. Yet despite being a valley girl, she never felt right in her body.
“Though I was attracted to women, I related to women as a man,” says Angel. “I think I was attracted to men because I wanted to be a man. But I didn’t have that much sex with either because I was never comfortable in my body.”
Though Susan was a beautiful girl, and even modeled, she was never happy with herself. In her late twenties, she saw a movie about a female to male transsexual, and realized that was the only path to finding happiness.
The transformation was anything but easy.
Eventually Susan found a book in A Different Light, a gay bookstore in West Hollywood. The book gave the name of a doctor who specialized in male to female transgender reassignment, and Susan went to see him.
“I was his first female to male patient,” Angel says. “He was very supportive. At the time, I also had a lesbian therapist who was supportive. The doctor showed me how to shoot testosterone in my butt.”
It wasn’t long before the muscles started growing, facial hair came in, hair on top of the head fell out, and a host of other male physical changes began to appear.
Goodbye, Susan. Hello, Buck.
A YEAR AND A HALF after taking testosterone, Angel had his only operation to date. Though he had built up the muscles in his chest, he still had breast tissue on top. He made consultations with ten different plastic surgeons, all of who would have left him with large, noticeable scars.
“I wanted to be able to go to the beach, take off my shirt, and not have people notice that something was different,” Angel says.
Finally, he found a surgeon who specialized in men who had fatty tissue on their chest, or what is known in street terms as ‘bitch tits.”
The Beverly Hills surgeon left Angel with an unscarred chest. It cost a lot more, according to Angel, but it was worth it, he says.
Angel has not had a hysterectomy, and still has his ovaries and uterus. He says perhaps one day he might have them removed.
But one thing he is not planning on doing is having surgery to remove his vagina and construct a penis in its place. For one thing, he says, the procedure is enormously expensive, costing anywhere from $50,000 to $75,000.
But the main reason he has opted out of reconstructive surgery, he says, is the fear he would lose his ability to have an orgasm.
“I don’t feel like I need a penis,” Angel explains. “With my vagina and clitoris I can have a great orgasm. I am a very sexual person and I love having sex.”
ANGEL GOT INTO PORN when he was romantically involved with a professional dominatrix. He began making amateur videos and maintaining the websites of male-to-female transsexuals. but he didn’t see any female-to-male transsexuals.
“I run my own business,” he says. “I run my website. I pretty much do my own thing. I am starting my own genre of porn. I do amateur videos at home. It can be hard to find partners because porn is so black and white in terms of what genre you do, gay or straight. Almost all the men I have shot with are gay. My biggest fan base is gay men.”
Angel says he has fewest fans among straight men. Many straight men are into male-to-female transsexuals, but not female-to-male.
“Straight men are more into men who have become women but still have a dick,” he believes. “Gay men might want to fuck a pussy but not be comfortable with a woman. I am a real macho man with a pussy they can fuck.”
Angel says he is also starting to get into anal sex.
“I’m working my anal area,” he explains. “It doesn’t tend to be as open. Eventually I would like to do a double penetration scene. I get a lot of requests for that.”
Angel says the Titan movie opened a lot of doors for him. He has been booked as a headliner at New York’s Black Party, where he will perform live sex shows with male partners.
NATURALLY, WHEN HOWARD STERN got word of Angel’s Black Party appearance, Stern had to book Angel on the show. Angel got naked in the studio, and Stern argued with him extensively that he was a woman.
“It was all about the genitals with him,” Angel says, brushing off Stern’s remarks.
Things got even wilder when Buck got on the “Sybian,” a contraption with a large dildo. After he got on the machine, Buck had an orgasm and squirted.
“They were all freaked out by that,” Angel says. “They actually got silent. Afterwards, Howard said I was the most memorable guest on the show.”
Angel knows that Stern and his cohorts tried to humiliate him. But he says he would go back on the show because there is no better publicity.
In the meantime, he says he is hoping to find a way to get booked in Miami or Fort Lauderdale, perhaps at one of the area’s many fetish parties.
“I am a pioneer,” Angel says. “I am determined to make it.”
